Meko's Autumn Outing to Meiji Jingu Gaien
2024-12-05

This past week, our students enjoyed a refreshing change of pace with a visit to Meiji Jingu Gaien's iconic Ginkgo Avenue. Throughout the week, our classes had the chance to venture out, giving students the opportunity to connect not only with their own classmates but also with peers from other campuses, all while enjoying one of Tokyo’s most stunning autumn scenes.

Known for its 300-meter-long rows of ginkgo trees that create a breathtaking canopy, Meiji Jingu Gaien provided the perfect backdrop for students to take a break from their busy schedules. The vibrant fall colors set a tranquil atmosphere as students strolled along the tree-lined avenue, capturing photos, enjoying conversations, and soaking in the beauty of the season.

Beyond the ginkgo trees, the trip offered students an opportunity to explore a different part of Tokyo. Many took the chance to visit nearby parks and restaurants, as well as charming shops and other hidden gems in the area.

This outing was more than just a scenic walk—it offered students a chance to connect outside the classroom, catch up on life updates, and share their progress in Japanese. During a busy academic season, the change of scenery and opportunity to build connections provided a refreshing boost of motivation and positivity.
