Before our students headed off for summer vacation, we traded the classroom for the water with a special field trip through Tokyo Bay!

Students from all six Shinyo Campus classes boarded the Tokyo Cruise, where they had the chance to enjoy a different perspective of the city while learning about Tokyo's historic bridges, waterfront landmarks, and the city's connection to its rivers and bay.

The cruise departed from Hinode Pier, traveled across Tokyo Bay, and continued along the Sumida River before arriving in Asakusa. Along the way, students relaxed, chatted with classmates from other levels, and enjoyed one last opportunity to connect before the summer holidays.

After arriving in Asakusa, many students stayed behind to explore one of Tokyo's most iconic neighborhoods. From the historic streets surrounding Sensō-ji Temple to the lively shopping district of Nakamise, Asakusa offered a completely different atmosphere from our campus in Takadanobaba and gave students another chance to experience the many sides of Tokyo.
